Hi again,
There's no real preparation for being a caregiver for family. The ins and outs and emotions.
I've spent my career making complicated things easier. From directing operations for the London Symphony Orchestra concerts in Daytona Beach to managing events and tourism for a city in Central Florida; my main goal was making sure people enjoyed themselves, were safe, and were happy.
These days I work with Road Guardians, the largest motorcycle trauma training organization in the world, which lets me work from the road with my Yorkie, Chopper, riding with me.

Dad climbed out the window of his memory care unit once, in the middle of the day. Luckily, he walked himself right into the nursing home entrance next door.
When I got there and walked in, the minute he saw me he beamed like a proud little kid. "I went out the window!" I couldn't help but smile, and I asked him why. "Because they told me I can't!"
Yep, that's my daddy.
If that made you smile and ache in the same breath, you already understand.
Here, the window stays open and you are welcome at any time. You are not the only one with these challenges.
